High
Lifter
|
One of the important features of the High Lifter is its large range of application. It can be used to pump water in quantity in applications where there is abundant source water, or it can be used in other situations where the amount of source water is as little as one quart per minute. The 2" High Lifter can be used to pump 50 foot lifts, or it can be used to pump 1000 foot lifts. This versatility is packaged in a small unit that weighs less than six pounds! The 4" High lifter can pump up to 50,000 gallons per day or can pump up to 2000 foot lift. |
Flexible ApplicationThe great utility of these pumps is that they are lightweight, quiet, efficient, easy to install, and are capable of pumping significant amounts of water up very high lifts all without gasoline, diesel, or electricity. The terrain in which these pumps find their greatest use is hilly to mountainous, since they use the pressure of water from a source located somewhat above the pump to lift a portion of that water higher than the original source. The High Lifter is a positive displacement pump that uses a larger volume of low pressure water to pump a smaller volume of water at a higher pressure. The percentage of source water that is pumped uphill is dependent on the volumetric ratio of the pump. Thus a "9:1" ratio pump would deliver one gallon of water at the top of the hill for every nine gallons of water from the source. The total amount of water that the pump will lift per day depends on other factors: height of source above pump, height of lift, and of course, the amount of water available at the source.
