High Lifter
Application & Installation

One of the important features of the High Lifter is its large range of application. It can be used to pump water in quantity in applications where there is abundant source water, or it can be used in other situations where the amount of source water is as little as one quart per minute. The 2" High Lifter can be used to pump 50 foot lifts, or it can be used to pump 1000 foot lifts. This versatility is packaged in a small unit that weighs less than six pounds! The 4" High lifter can pump up to 50,000 gallons per day or can pump up to 2000 foot lift.

Flexible Application

The great utility of these pumps is that they are lightweight, quiet, efficient, easy to install, and are capable of pumping significant amounts of water up very high lifts all without gasoline, diesel, or electricity.

The terrain in which these pumps find their greatest use is hilly to mountainous, since they use the pressure of water from a source located somewhat above the pump to lift a portion of that water higher than the original source. The High Lifter is a positive displacement pump that uses a larger volume of low pressure water to pump a smaller volume of water at a higher pressure. The percentage of source water that is pumped uphill is dependent on the volumetric ratio of the pump. Thus a "9:1" ratio pump would deliver one gallon of water at the top of the hill for every nine gallons of water from the source. The total amount of water that the pump will lift per day depends on other factors: height of source above pump, height of lift, and of course, the amount of water available at the source.

Easy Installation

Installation of the High Lifter is usually quite simple. Connect the water source to the pump and the pump to the lift point with any available pipe material. Flexible polyethylene tubing is usually the most convenient. If the source is a spring it may have to be developed to obtain more water. A strainer is always recommended for any source. The pump itself can be situated at any convenient location, usually next to a stream bed or gully as that will be the lowest elevation around. It can be left out in the open, or covered, as the user wishes. If the pump is to be used for other applications during the year it may simply be disconnected and moved to another set of pipelines.

Easy Maintenance

The High Lifter is designed to be user maintained. All its parts are completely accessible, and no special tools are needed. The most frequent maintenance will be filter clean-out; the duration between clean-outs being dependent on the quality of water coming from the source. The wearing parts of the pump will last 1 - 3 years or more depending on usage conditions, water quality, etc. In all cases the user can easily replace these expendable components himself if he so desires. In addition, a pump of one ratio can easily be converted to another ratio by replacing a minimum of parts. This also can be done by the user with no special tools.

High Lifter: The Best!

High Lifter pumps are an effective tool in lifting water uphill. Their versatility and range of operation coupled with their light weight and extreme efficiency make them a best choice in many water pumping applications.
